A Stress-Free Wedding Rehearsal

The goal of your wedding rehearsal is to test run the key points of your big day. Some initial jitters should be shaken out by the time the rehearsal is over. Often, couples are not sure how to coordinate their wedding party or what to expect. Our job is to ensure open communication and attention to detail. We want to help you have a stress-free wedding rehearsal, so you sleep easy knowing everything will run smoothly the next day!

The wedding rehearsal typically takes place the day before your wedding. This is so anyone coming in from out of town can participate. The entire wedding party should be present and usually the officiant will attend to go over the flow of the ceremony. We always recommend telling everyone to arrive a little early, so it can begin on time. You will arrive at your venue and be greeted by your wedding planner and venue coordinator. Together, you will confirm final details such as guest count and catering selections if applicable.

Take a moment during your wedding rehearsal to study your environment. Knowing your venue will eliminate a lot of stress for the following day. Your wedding party will be shown where the bridal suite is located so there will be no confusion when you arrive for the ceremony. You can drop off items such as favors, escort cards, programs, and anything else that will be need set up for the next day. This will immediately release any concern over forgetting anything!

Time for the fun part! Your wedding planner will walk you through the ceremony from start to finish. We go over how everyone lines up, when each person needs to walk, and exactly where to stop and stand. This is a stress-free time to go over fine details like how to hold bouquets and when to pause for the camera! This is the perfect time to get out any nerves and questions. During the mock ceremony, any tasks that need to be assigned such as handing off the bouquet and fixing the train of the dress can be discussed. Then, the wedding party practices exiting and it’s a wrap! Your wedding planner will show you how you will enter the reception and go over any other logistics for the next day. Your stress-free wedding rehearsal is complete!
